October Madness

The last month has gone by in blur, which seems evermore common. I knew that work would be hectic for me (our company closed or nearly completed 4 jobs this month) and Jason is always working long hours. We had Mom & Dad in town to visit on their way to Arizona and to top it off, I got my first case of pneumonia.

I am breathing a deep sigh of relief as November begins, maybe moving into the holidays will actually be LESS crazy this year.

Here's a few snippets of how we spent October and prepared for Halloween:

Cooking with Grandma Carol! Grandma brought Layla a perfectly sized apron (made by her own Grandma). Layla loves it, naturally.


After touring one of Jason's latest projects in Kenliworth, we enjoyed a fall walk on the beach.

A surprise visit from the Gerber family on their way through Chicago (coming from a visit to Calvin College in Michigan). Layla is showing off her new art easel. It was a birthday gift from Grandma Carol and Papa Greg which they brought with on their trip.
