What color is that?

When we were in the throes of wedding planning someone had asked me about the dishes we registered for. We chose every day stoneware, thinking that we were going to inherit some China at some point and really we don't have any use for it right now.

What does it look like? This person had asked me. Now, finally four years after we picked them out I can tell you they are almost the exact color of pickled beets. In the past I would have said "wine colored", but I think I will stick with beets from here on out. Much more interesting!


I don't think that Jason's grandma Helen reads the blog, but I want to thank her for the beets anyway. Jason will be lucky to get any of them!
