Moving Chaos

After the 70th trip from the condo yesterday I think we have everything out.....almost.   Tomorrow we'll finish cleaning and get the last few remnants.  I think it's just some hanging clothes and cleaning supplies left.  Oh, and some plywood and a sheet of durock, can't forget those!

Yes, we moved ourselves.  Yes, we are insane.

Thank God for Allie who flew in to help us and saved us the trouble of paying professionals.  Someday we'll let her come and visit without all the hard work.  We are forever grateful to her.

 First night in the new house!

Play Room!  Ceiling fan and curtains to be installed, but it's looking pretty good. 

So so so wonderful to have a haven for all the toys and books!

So, this is our crazy, unfinished adventure of a house.  Lots of people would not choose to live like this and we could too.  But then we'd live in a much smaller house in a less nice neighborhood with a tiny backyard.  Or we'd live in the country.  So ultimately, we feel pretty lucky to have fallen into this house, as crazy as it is. 

The bathroom is nearly done, just tile and finish plumbing left, expect to see some photos in April!

Someday in the distant future our house will be done, but until then expect to see us in some phase of unfinished work.  We are already planning our next project!

A HUGE thanks to my sister and my parents, without whom all of this would not be possible.  We have had a lot of help from family and friends along the way and we are so grateful!
