Last Friday I discovered a lump on his chest which sent me into a motherly panic but thankfully turned out to be only a skin infection. The doctor is keeping a close eye on him this week to make sure the infection doesn't spread and become more serious. As you may have seen my last post you will realize that this lump occurred right in the middle of four days of fun.
Thankfully our little meatball is very easy-going. The lump is not bothering him and his biggest annoyance is not being particularly thrilled with the antibiotics which also have a bad side effect that causes us to go through a lot of clothes. One big blow-up at church Sunday morning which was especially enjoyable for mom.
At any rate, he got an official weigh in yesterday at the doctor and is a whopping 21 pounds, 6.5 ounces (86% percentile). He is working hard on crawling (so those cute chubby legs will be gone very soon); getting up on all fours and rocking this morning. He can get from laying down to sitting, and scoots backwards pretty efficiently. The latter does not make him happy since he is trying to go forward, but it is pretty cute.
He still doesn't have any teeth but his nose is running and he's been pulling on his ears, so maybe one is coming. We know it's not an ear infection since we've been to the doctor twice this week so far!
